A Royal Retreat: Branding the Mackeson Barbershop

The MACKESON Barbershop project was a creative extension of the KING OF THE NIGHT campaign, which celebrated the brand's consumers as the rulers of their own world. By focusing on the barbershop, we aimed to highlight one of the many "kingdoms" where MACKESON's patrons reigned supreme.

Nestled in the heart of Sangre Grande, Trinidad, the barbershop had been a community institution for approximately three decades. Understanding the owner's deep connection to history, culture, and the local community was essential in developing a brand identity that resonated with its patrons.

A unique twist was incorporated into the barbershop's design: the stories depicted in the images could only be fully read when customers were seated in the barber's chair, looking into the mirror. This interactive element added an extra layer of engagement and made the barbershop experience even more memorable.
